JALALABAD (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MoRRD) is building two schools for boys and girls in eastern Nangarhar province at the cost of over 12.1 million afsm says an official on Sunday.
Attaullah Mohammadi, spokesperson of the National Public Development Scheme, said the two schools would be constructed in the Chaparhar district.
“The schools are being built under Iqra scheme, a development programe at the grassroots level, with the approval of local village council. One school will be built for boys and another for girls,” he said.
Nearly 1,000 students will be able to get learning opportunity once the schools are completed.
Under Iqra scheme, as many as 239 development projects had been approved in which 34 are different schemes and remaining 105 are school building. Currently work on 45 schools had been completed.
