KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Interior (MoI) on Saturday said undocumented vehicles would be impounded across the country.
The MoI in a statement on Saturday said the deadline for renewing registration of undocumented vehicles had already ended and from now on all undocumented vehicles would be confiscated.
The statement added there was strict monitoring of vehicles and if a vehicle without documents is detected; it would immediately be seized.
“Kabul hosts our people from other provinces on the eve of the new solar year, who travel to Mazar-i-Sharif for recreation through this route; we notify public that if any vehicle without documents enters Kabul then it would be impounded,” the source added.
MoI called public cooperation in enforcing the law and providing security as extremely important and said terrorists and kidnappers had recently been seen committing crimes using undocumented vehicles.
MoI added that peace and security were the ministry’s top priority, urging public to cooperate with police.
Earlier, the Ministry of Interior had announced that purchase, sale and transit of undocumented motorcycles were prohibited in the country.
