KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Tuesday said 122 people tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours in the country.
The ministry in a statement said 1,124 people underwent tests since Saturday and the virus was detected in 122 people, pushing the overall tally to 57,364.
It said 27 cases were detected in Kandahar, 26 each in Kabul and Nangarhar, 15 in Nimroz, seven each in Herat, Laghman, four in Balkh, three in Kunduz, two each in Helmand and Ghazni provinces.
At least 16 individuals recovered, taking the recoveries to 52,005 and no one died from the infection during the period, with the total death toll remaining at 2,529.
