JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Three Daesh or Islamic State (IS) rebels including the group’s member for targeted attacks have been captured in eastern Nangarhar province, local officials said on Thursday.
Nangarhar governor’s office in a statement said Special Forces launched raids in Farm Hada area in the limits of Jalalabad’s fourth police district on Wednesday night.
The source added a Daesh member for spreading propagandas, Maulvi Rohullah and another insurgent of the group responsible for targeted killings, Sajid AKA Amarkhil arrested during the raids.
One another person who had links with Daesh also arrested, the source said.
The statement said Maulvi Rohullah was involved in spreading negative propagandas against the government to mislead the public and Sajid AKA Amarkhil was a responsible for targeted killings of IS.
Local officials said Special Forces have also recovered a drone-type camera, two laser pistols and bullets during the overnight operations.
Daesh group has not yet commented in this regard.
A day earlier, Special Forces had captured nine members of Daesh group in eastern Nangarhar province.
