KABUL (Pajhwok): Pakistan’s Religious Affairs Minister Noor-ul-Haq Qaderi has said that Islam promoted peace and stability and never one Muslim could harm another.
Addressing a Joint Pakistan-Afghanistan Ulema meeting in Mecca, he said misperceptions existing among Muslims should be resolved through dialogue and debates among Ulema.
Qaderi stressed efforts should be launched to unite Muslims and resolve the existing problems through talks.
He urged that ulemas from different schools of through should get together and resolve outstanding issues to help resolve existing differences and hatred.
Qaderi added Islamic world lived differently and that caused extremism among some Muslims deviated their way from actual teaching of Islam.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia said that peace in Afghanistan was linked with peace in Pakistan.
He added Afghanistan conflict has no military solution thus the issue should be resolved through political settlement.
The Pakistani envoy believed that Ulema could play vital role in bringing peace and stability in Afghanistan.
