Islam Qala, Torghondai ports fall to Taliban

HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): The Taliban have captured the Islam Qala and Torghondai Ports in western Herat province, according to well-placed sources on Friday.

The source said the Taliban captured vital Islam Qala Port bordering Iran. Last night the Taliban captured the port after a clash.

A well-placed Ministry of Finance (MoF) source also confirmed the Taliban captured Islam Qala Port.

Herat Custom Department Director Nisar Ahmad Nasiri said the Taliban captured the Islam Qala and Torghondai Ports.

It is worth mentioning that the Taliban so far captured Takhar’s Ikhanam Port, Kunduz Sher Khan Port, Herat Torghondai, Islam Qala Port and Paktia Dand-e-Patan Port.
