KABUL (Pajhwok): Civil society activists and some Kabul residents on Sunday staged a protest in front of Pakistan’s embassy in the central capital and demanded of the government to cut off diplomatic ties with the neighboring country.
The protest comes in the aftermath of Afghan ambassador Alikhel’s daughter abduction for few hours in Islamabad.
Wolesi Jirga Member ShikaiKarokhel told Pajhwok Afghan News such incidents in Pakistan were against all diplomatic norms, international laws and human rights.
“This is not the first time that Pakistan has failed to protect Afghan diplomats but similar incidents had happened in the past as well.”
Another Wolesi Jirga Member YarBazHameed expressed similar views and added that Pakistan from its very birth had searched its interest in the loss of others.
“Pakistan always desired conflict, poverty and devastation in Afghanistan and searched its comfort by seeking problems in Afghanistan,” he added.
A resolution was also passed in the gathering asking the Afghan government to register complain against Pakistan in the UN and open a claim in this regard.
