Kabul’s main money market reopens after 19 days

KABUL (Pajhwok): After 19 days of closure, the largest money market in Kabul -- known as Sara-i-Shahzada, --reopened on Saturday.

All government and non-government organisations, including banks, stopped their activities after the Taliban took over Kabul on August 15.

However, some banks and the Western Union resumed operations three days ago.

Ahmad Shah, a moneychanger, confirmed to Pajhwok Afghan News the reopening of the Sara-i-Shahzada market today (Saturday).
