KABUL (Pajhwok): Former chairman of High Council of National Reconciliation (HCNR) Dr. Abdullah Abdullah in a telephonic contact with Iranian foreign minister discussed counterterrorism and the creation of an inclusive government in Afghanistan.
A statement from Iranian foreign ministry said that Iran’s Foreign Minister HosseinAmirabdollahian and Abdullah talked about the current situation of Afghanistan.
The two sides discussed counterterrorism in Afghanistan and creation of an inclusive government in the country, the statement added.
Abdullah shared information about the ongoing situation in Afghanistan with the Iranian foreign minister and asked the neighboring country to provide humanitarian assistance to Afghans.
The statement added that the two sides stressed that the future government of Afghanistan would be formed independently by Afghans.
