Power utility worker gunned down in Faryab

MAIMANA (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen have shot dead an employee the Da Afghanistan Breshna Shirkat (DABS) in northern Faryab province, local sources said on Sunday.

Damla Zia-ul-Haq, head of the 3^rd police district, told Pajhwok Afghan News that Hamidullah, 24, was killed by unknown armed men in limits of the 4^th police district on Saturday night.

He said the motive behind the murder was yet to be determined. Three members of a family have been arrested in connection with the killing and an investigation is underway.

Eng. Wali Mohammad Awraq, DABS director for Faryab, confirmed the murder of Hamidullah.

Dr. Hadi, head of the ICU at the main provincial hospital, said Hamidullah had been beheaded, stabbed four times in the stomach and hit with a bullet as well.
