Afghanistan records 104 new Covid-19 cases, 2 deaths

KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan registered over a hundred new positive coronavirus cases and two deaths in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said on Sunday.

A total of 403 suspected cases brought to the different laboratories for test in which 104 were positive and this took the total number of coronavirus patients in the country to 154,094.

In Herat 47 people tested positive for coronavirus, Kandahar nine, Badakhshan 27, Zabul eight, Bamyan seven, Nangarhar four, two each in Kabul and Farah provinces, the health ministry said.

Over 730 coronavirus patients have recovered in the past 24 hours and that brings the total number of recovered persons to 117,579.

Two patients died from this virus during the period and that take the total number of fatalities to 7169 nationwide.
