KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Defence on Sunday ordered the suspension of sale and purchase of weapons, ammunition, undocumented vehicles until next notice.
In a statement, the MoD said the during the battle in neighboring provinces of Kabul and first days of Taliban’s takeover of Kabul, vehicles and weapons were stolen from government departments by irresponsible individuals.
“Vehicles, equipment, weapons and ammunition have been taken from officials of the previous administrations and but they are not reached to the concerned departments,” the source said.
The source added: “These people are trying to sell the seized vehicles, equipment, weapons and ammunition, so the Ministry of Defense is seriously informing that the purchase and sale of weapons, ammunition, unknown and undocumented vehicles will be strictly suspended until further notice.”
