KABUL (Pajhwok): Government employees who did not receive their salary for the month of ‘Asad’ — a solar year month — will soon get their salaries, according to a statement from the Administrative Office of the Presidential Palace on Tuesday.
The statement quoted Mawlavi Ahmad Jan Ahmadi, the Taliban head for Administrative Affair Office, as saying “The processing of Asad Month salary for government employees is kicked off by the Ministry of Finance, initially employees of education, agriculture, higher education and finance are given priority.”
Mohammad ZareefMujadidi, deputy head of the Administrative Office Human Resource Department said salaries of majority employees of Administrative Affairs had been issued.
Earlier, a commission headed by Deputy Prime Minister Abdul Salaam Hanif had been formed to address salary related issues of employees. The commission held several meeting for this purpose.
