KABUL (Pajhwok): South Korea announced on Monday providing Afghanistan $32m in humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.
95 percent of the population is suffering from food shortages.
In a statement, the foreign ministry in Seoul said the assistance would be sent to the war-ravaged country through the United Nations.
It added the assistance would focus on providing food, shelter and basic health facilities to the Afghans, 95 percent of whom are facing food shortages.
Women and children will be among the first to get the aid. South Korean also plans to send the same support for Afghan refugees in Iran and Pakistan.
