1 robber killed, 5 wounded in Baghlan clash

PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): One robber has been killed and five others have been arrested by security forces in northern Baghlan province, an official said on Sunday.

Police chief Safiullah Samim told Pajhwok Afghan News a clash erupted between the robbers and security forces in Poziashan area of Pul-i-Khumri on Saturday night.

The police chief said the security forces also arrested some armed men in Chishma Sher area on the Pul-i-Khumri-Samangan highway.

Maulvi Asadullah Mustafa Hashimi, director of information and culture, said efforts were underway to prevent armed robberies and nobody would be allowed to disrupt social harmony.
