PARAKH (Pajhwok): Senior Ministry of Interior officials at a gathering in central Panjshir province stressed national unity and said "biased elements" wanted to lead Afghanistan to disintegration, but their dreams would never come true.

Sheikh Abdul Sami Ghaznavi, a representative of the Ministry of Interior (MoI), and MulaviSayedSebghatullah, a representative of Special Forces, traveled to Panjshir province to attend a gathering of residents of the provincial capital and districts at Grand Mosque in Parakh, the provincial capital.

"There are some enemies of this land who still have biased plans and want to lead the country to disintegration, but their dreams would never come true," Ghaznavi told the gathering, without naming anyone.

He stressed solidarity, unity and brotherhood among the Afghan people and added that the current government was based on Islamic beliefs and ideologies and it was acting according to the instructions of the Qur'an and Islamic law.

In the current government, there is no ethnic, racial or regional discrimination, he said. "Therefore, it is necessary for all of us and you to support this government; you should not be deceived by the enemies, and work to keep the foundations of this administration strong,” he said.

Ghaznavi said, "Our message is peace, unity and brotherhood. Afghanistan is common home of all of us, let’s renounce enmity, and let us not to be deceived by foreigners, so that we can live under an Islamic umbrella.”

MulaviSayedSebghatullah also emphasized on avoiding any discrimination and said that Islam has rejected any type of racism.

A number of Panjshir residents during the meeting shared their problems and suggestions with the two officials for solutions.
