KABUL (Pajhwok): Qatar Foreign Minister Mohammad Bin Abdul Rahman Al Sani has held a telephonic conversation with UN Secretary-General António Guterres on Afghanistan.
During the call, they discussed peace, stability and development in the war-torn country, a statement from the Qatar Foreign Ministry said.
They also discussed Qatar’s efforts and multi-dimensional cooperation with UN institutions on peace and development in Afghanistan, Libya and Yemen.
The Qatar foreign minister stressed the need for the resolution of disputes through talks and mediation and renewed Doha’s commitment in this regard.
He also renewed Qatar’s support for UN efforts for promoting human rights, international peace and development.
