TALOQAN (Pajhwok): Over 2,800 families received health package assistance in the Khawaja Ghar district of northern Takhar province, according to Unicef official on Monday.
The package included 13 types of health care items and was distributed to 2,808 families in the Hazar Bagh area.
Unicef Coordinator Dr. Saleem Samim said health packages were distributed to vulnerable families on Sunday afternoon adding that some families direly needed this assistance.
Nasratullah, the resident of Khawaja Ghar district, was happy over receiving aid packages and said these packages were very useful and needed by the people.
Aid providing agencies had renewed aid distribution to vulnerable families in Afghanistan after regime change last year in August.
