MAIDAN SHAHR (Pajhwok): Hundreds of acres of farmlands have been damaged by flash floods in the Jaghato district of central Maidan Wardak province.
In a statement on Tuesday, the governor’s house said the floods were triggered by heavy rains late on Monday.
Maulvi Mohammad Sardar Sabit, administrative chief for Jaghato district, said: “The floods hit Kamalkhel, Akhtarkhel, Qudratkhel and Misrikhel villages,where orchards on about 1,000 acres of land were damaged.”
