KABUL (Pajhwok): Three rockets have been fired from Afghanistan’s soil into Uzbekistan, causing no damage or casualties, an official said on Wednesday.
Balkh police spokesperson Mohammad Asif Waziri confirmed three rockets were fired from the Hairatan border area into Uzbekistan.
“Fortunately, no damage or casualties were caused by the rockets,” he said.
One rocket landed in a cemetery and the remaining two fell in an open area, Waziri explained.
Earlier, Daesh claimed responsibility for an attack on Uzbekistan’s security forces from Afghan soil.
