PESHAWAE (Pajhwok): The Pak-Afghan Cooperation Forum (PACF) has dispatched a truckload of food packages for quake-affected Afghan people.
The packages containing rice, cooking oil, beans and sugar were handed over to Afghan authorities on Wednesday, APP reported.
The humanitarian aid, donated by the Khadijatul Kubra Foundation, was handed over to Afghan officials at the Ghulam Khan crossing point.
On July 1, PACF had sent three truckloads of relief items for the quake-affected people of Paktika province. Earlier, the Forum had sent 30 trucks carrying 250 tonnes of food packages, donated by the Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust (KORT), for the quake survivors.
At least 1,000 people were killed, 3,000 wounded and a large number of houses destroyed by the disaster in Paktika.
