KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Afghan government has renewed its commitment to the country’s independence and integrity and stressed the need for cordial ties with the international community on the bases of the holy religion of Islam.
In a statement on the occasion of Afghanistan’s 103rd Independence Day Bilal Karimi, assistant spokesperson of the government said: “Afghan people with empty hands carried out Jihad and freedom struggle against British invaders three times and defeated them.”

The statement said: “The people of Afghanistan celebrate this year Independence Day at times when peace and security is established nationwide and just a year ago another occupation was routed out from the country.”
Reaffirming commitment to the country’s independence the acting government pledged cordial ties with the outside world in the bases of the Islamic religions and its teachings.
