Children among 4 killed, injured in Logar traffic accident

PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): A woman and a child have been killed and another woman and a child injured in a traffic accident in central Logar province, an official said on Wednesday.

Police Spokesperson Ahmadullah Anas three vehicles — a military ranger, ambulance and a Suzuki Alto — were involved in the accident that happened in the Jumma Kala area late on Tuesday.

A woman and a child were among those killed, another child and a woman was injured which was evacuated by security forces to the hospital.

A resident of Juma Kala area, on the condition of anonymity told Pajhwok Afghan News that the accident happened due to the recklessness of the military vehicle’s driver.

He added: “The Ranger was very driven at a high speed; it went out of control, crushed the Suzuki and then collided with another ambulance”.

The number of traffic accidents increased on Kabul-Logar highway and according to the people the reason was recklessness reckless driving an violation of traffic rules.
