KABUL (Pajhwok): Five Afghan athletes are participating in the world Kurash games hosted by Turkey, the Afghanistan Physical Training and Sports Directorate said on Monday.
The competition will continue from September 27th to October 3rd in Bursa, Turkey, the Sports Directorate wrote on its Facebook page.
The source said that in addition to five Afghan athletes, athletes from 50 Islamic countries of the world are participating in this competition.
The source said, three Afghan sportsmen will compete in wrestling and two athletes will compete in Koresh.
The competition is being held under the special supervision of Turkish President Rejeb Tayyip Erdughan source added.
