KABUL (Pajhwok): Two people superficially injured, while financial losses were inflicted as a result of a fire incident in the Kot-i-Sangi area of capital Kabul on Wednesday, according to police.
The fire erupted at around 8:00 am in the Ahmadi Market and later extended to Abasin Zadran Market. These two markets sell garments for men, women, and children. The first floor of Zadran Market also sells gold.
Kabul Police Spokesperson Khalid Zadran told Pajhwok Afghan News at the site of the fire that firefighters had arrived in the area on time and control the fire.
“Copters of the Defence Ministry also arrived in the area to make sure that people are not stuck in the fire,” he said.
He said two shopkeepers were superficially injured but and some financial losses had been inflicted. He, however, said considering the intensity of the fire the volume of financial losses were less.
