KABUL (Pajhwok): Five alleged armed robbers and car-lifters have been arrested in the limits of the 8th police district of Kabul, a police official said on Tuesday.
Mualvi Fazal Rahman Zahir, police chief for the 8th police district, said the robbers had snatched a corolla car and a taxi vehicle and both the cars were recovered.
Zahir said the five robbers had looted a butcher and the money was returned to him after he lodged a complaint with police.
He said the five robbers were arrested and the stolen vehicles were recovered as a result of public cooperation.
A person whose car was stolen said: “I was offering Maghrib prayers when my car was stolen. I called 119. The car was found half an hour later.”
