Chinese envoy wants embassy’s security beefed up

KABUL (Pajhwok): Chinese ambassador in Kabul Wang Yu has asked the caretaker government of Afghanistan to pay more attention to the security of his country’s embassy.

Wang Yu met with deputy foreign minister for political affairs Sher Muhammad Abbas Stanikzai and discussed with him topics of mutual interest, tweeted Abdul Qahar Balkhi, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Expressing satisfaction with the overall security in Afghanistan, the Chinese envoy asked the Islamic Emirate to pay more attention to the security of his country's embassy in Kabul.

Stanikzai assured the Chinese ambassador that the Islamic Emirate would allow no one to threaten the security of another country from Afghanistan’s soil.

The deputy FM said ensuring the security of foreign political missions in Afghanistan was a priority of the Islamic Emirate.

He thanked China for its humanitarian aid and emphasized on strengthening and developing economic relations between the two countries.
