KABUL (Pajhwok): Da Afghanistan Breshna Shirkat (DABS) on Thursday said electricity imported from Turkmenistan has been reconnected to western Herat province.
DABS tweeted that the power utility professional engineers were able to reconnect cables of the Turkmenistan electricity with temporary power pylons.
The source said serious work was underway to restore the damaged power pylons.
Earlier, a powerful windstorm destroyed two power pylons in Robat Sangi district, cutting off the electricity.
