KABUL (Pajhwok): Pakistan’s exports to Afghanistan have registered a 2.83 percent hike over the first five months of current fiscal year, says the country’s central bank.
The State Bank of Pakistan said on Wednesday overall exports to Afghanistan stood at $213.282 million between July and November.
In the corresponding period of last year, exports to the neighbouring country accounted for $207.407 million, according to the SBP data.
On an year-to-year basis, however, exports to Afghanistan fell by 23.46 percent from $48.686 million in November 2022 from $37.263 million in November 2021.
Likewise, Pakistan’s imports from Afghanistan fell to $11.523 million from $73.120 million last year, indicating a, 84.24 percent decrease.
Imports into Afghanistan also slipped by 94.58 percent from $25.368 million to $1.373 million, the SBP data said.
