KABUL (Pajhwok): A resident of southern Helmand province has demanded the trial of Prince Harry for killing Afghan people.
In his memoir, Harry confessed earlier in the week to killing 25 Taliban fighters during his tour of duty in Afghanistan. The Duke of Sussex called the Afghans he killed “chess pieces” that had been taken off the board.
Mullah Abdullah, the relative of a victim of a 2011 air raid that was reportedly conducted by British troops, called for putting Harry on trial.
In an interview with the Associated Press, Abdullah — hailing from in Nahr-i-Saraj district — said nine of his relatives were killed in airstrike.
He lost nine relatives, including his father, when his house was struck. Abdullah himself was at a market in Yakhchal village at that time.
“We ask the international community to put this person (Prince Harry) on trial, and we should get compensation for our losses,” he was quoted as saying.
