KABUL (Pajhwok): Courts in southeastern Paktika province have decided more than 500 cases besides issuing about 400 property ownership documents over the past three months, the Supreme Court of Afghanistan said on Wednesday.
The Supreme Court wrote on its Twitter handle: “Courts in Paktika province, during the third quarter of the current solar year, decided about 565 cases and issued over 381 land ownership documents.”
During this quarter of the current year, the apex court said, a total of 834 cases were filed in the provincial courts. With 464 of the cases decided, the rest are sub judice.
During the period, 148 more civil cases were filed with civil courts. At least 37 of them were decided while the rest are being tried.
The Supreme Court added 135 cases were taken to the appeal court and 64 of them were adjudicated.
A total of 381 official documents related to land ownership were also issued.
