PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen have shot dead a man in Pul i Khumri, the capital of northern Baghlan province, an official on Saturday.
Police Spokesperson Maulvi Shir Ahmad Borhani told Pajhwok Afghan News unknown armed men had shot dead a person late Friday in Dahna Ghori area of Pul I Khumri.
He said investigations were underway for the identification and detention of the murderer. However, Amir Jan Ahmadzai a resident of the area identified the slain person as Sarwar Ahmadzai, and said he was his villager. He said the slain Ahmadzai had pylon Construction Company and was targeted by unidentified gunmen while travelling in his car along with his five years old son to Chashm i Shir township.
Earlier police spokesperson said that an employee of telecommunication department was shot dead at his home in Dahna Ghor area due to personal enmity.
