KABUL (Pajhwok): The Economic Commission of the Prime Minister’s Office has decided to extend the period for payment of customs duty on unregistered and undocumented vehicles till the end of 1402 solar year.
The Deputy of the Prime Minister’s Office tweeted today that it was decided by the Economic Commission that undocumented vehicles’ custom duty payment period was extended until the end of 1402 year.
The Ministry of Finance (MoF) had announced on September 22, 2022 that the undocumented cars’ custom duty payment period would end in six months.
While the Directorate of Traffic Police on March 11, 2023 announced that in order to prevent crimes, disruption of public order and to control traffic accidents, each of the One Key (undocumented) vehicle would be issued three years permit while the process would be finalized within three months.
The Economic Commission also decided that: “The Ministry of Urban Development can allow implementation of some of those construction projects of the New Kabul City the land ownership documents of which have been already evaluated after their ratification from the Economic Commission”.
The economic commission also discussed in greater detail the Noori fiber optics lease draft prepared by Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) and decided that representatives of the Ministry of Economy, DABS, Ministry of Information and Technology and Afghan Telecom Company must evaluate this issue and present their report to the upcoming meeting the Economic Commission.
