SAR-I-PUL CITY (Pajhwok): A narcotics-processing factory has been destroyed in northern Sar-i-Pul province, an official said on Tuesday.
Police spokesman Din Mohammad Nazari told Pajhwok Afghan News counter-narcotics police destroyed the drug factory in the Sangaki village of Kohistan district on Monday.
He said a suspect, who was detained inside the factory, was currently being interrogated.
He added: “Police also recovered 1,500 kilograms of ephedra, a stimulant herb which is used in making crystal meth.”
