2 Daesh militants killed in Herat operations

HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Two Daesh militants have been killed as a result of clearing operations in the capital of western Herat province, an official said on Thursday.

Maulana Naeem-ul-Haq Haqqani, director of information and culture, confirmed the killing of two Daesh insurgents in a clash with security forces.

Haqqani said security personnel and civilians suffered no causalities and the clearing operations were still ongoing in the 9^th and 11^th police districts of the city.

According to him, the operations are being conducted on the basis of intelligence reports regarding the presence of militants in the area.
