2 killed in separate incidents in Nangarhar, Sari Pul

KABUL (Pajhwok): Two people were killed in two separate incidents of violence in eastern Nangarhar and northern Sari Pul provinces.

Nangarhar police spokesman Abdul Basir Zabuli told Pajhwok Afghan News that two families clashed over a land dispute in Lorti Jankhel village of Batikot district

He said one person was injured with a sickle and then he died of severe wounds.

According to him, police reached the area on time, but the accused had escaped and efforts were underway to arrest him.

Separately in Sari Pul province, the governor’s house in a statement said that a man was shot dead in Farshqan village of Sancharak district last night and his body was found in his neighbor’s house.

The cause and motive of the murder was not clear, but security officials had arrested the wife of his neighbor for investigation, the statement said.
