KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) has recommended 40 children with congenital heart defects (CHDs) for treatment to two Kabul hospitals.
ARCS spokesman Irfanullah Sharifzoi, said the children were introduced to hospitals on Monday. The humanitarian organisation is bearing their treatment expenses.
Over past eleven months, ARCS has introduced 1,392 children suffering from heart diseases to different hospitals for medical treatment.
The organisation has previously sent children with cardiac issues, broken bones and severe burns to the German Peace Village for treatment.
