MEHTARLAM (Pajhwok): The Inter-club cricket tournament has kicked off in eastern Laghman province, an official said on Saturday.
Mohammad Jameel Stanikzai, head of the provincial Cricket Board, said the tournament kicked off today (Saturday) between 18 registered teams.
He said the purpose of the tournament was to explore talented and quality players for the provincial team.
Jameel said 18 teams had been divided in three groups and each team will play five games.
Lutfullah Yousufzai, coach of the Aziz Khan Kazh team said their team was fully prepared for the tournament which kicked started today.
He hoped that his team would be picked for the provincial team after their success in the tournament.
