Clash over land dispute leaves 1 dead, 3 injured in Parwan

CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): One person was killed and three others, including a security officer, were wounded after two families clashed over a land dispute in Jabal Saraj district of central Parwan province on Saturday.

In a statement, Parwan police said the clash resulted from a land dispute between two families in MianaGuzar area.

The police said one of the family opened fire at the rivals, killing one and injuring three others.

According to the statement, a security officer who went to the area for investigation was also injured in the incident.

The injured were evacuated to the civil hospital in Charikar.

The person who opened fire had managed to escape, but two suspects were arrested and efforts were underway to arrest the main culprit.
