KABUL (Pajhwok): About 13 tankers of substandard fuel have been sent back to Iran, says the Afghanistan National Standards Authority (ANSA).
ANSA wrote in its twitter handle that the fuel tankers were sent back to Iran from western Farah province.
The source said that this administration had taken strong measures to prevent the import of low-quality fuel into the country.
Four days ago, director of ANSA, Mullah Faizullah Tamim told reports at the Government Media and Information Center that last year over 10,000 tankers fuels from Islam Kala, Tor Ghondai, Farah, Nimroz, Kandahar, Jalalabad, Sher Khan, Hairatan and Aqina ports had been imported, of these tankers 2,000 were sent back due to carrying low quality of fuel.
