MEHTHARLAM (Pajhwok): A 14-year-old girl has been rescued and two of her abductors have been detained in eastern Laghman province, a police official said on Sunday.
Police spokesman Younis Yousufzai told Pajhwok Afghan News two brothers had abducted the girl in Dawlat Shah district five days ago.
He said the girl was rescued and her kidnappers (Ahmad Zia and Abdul Hadi) were detained during a special operation in the Farsheghan area of the district.
According to him, the detainees have confessed to their crime and were currently being interrogated.
Based on another report, a man was detained in connection with murder in Dawlatshah district late on Saturday.
Yousufzai said the detainee named Abdul Majeed was a resident of the Manangul area of the district. Majeed had allegedly a man two years ago.
The alleged killer’s case had been referred to the organs concerned for investigation, said the official.
