KABUL (Pajhwok): Iran has asked Afghanistan to construct the Nimroz Maleek Port and railway truck in southwestern Nimroz province in order to establish a second railway connectivity route between the two countries.
The Afghanistan Railway Authority (ARA) on its Twitter handle wrote late on Thursday that ARA Head Mullah Bakhtullah Sharafat and his delegation during his trip to Iran visited the Chabahar-Zahidan-Nimroz Maleek under construction railway truck.
The source said that Iranian Transportation Ministry Official Mir Shafai briefed the visiting Afghan delegation about the project and said Iran wanted these projects to be completed soon and hoped that Afghan side would also construct the Malik railway truck as well in order to construct second railway connectivity between the two countries.
The ARA delegation is visiting Iran from August 28.
