218 more Afghan refugees arrive in Canada

KABUL (Pajhwok): About 218 more Afghan refugees have reached Canada and their number would reach to 40,000 by the end of 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) said.

IRCC wrote on its X page, “Today, we welcomed 218 Afghan nationals to Halifax, from where they will continue their journey to approximately 22 communities across Canada, including Halifax, London, Surrey and Toronto.”

According to IRCC, Over 37,000 Afghans have already arrived in Canada, and we are on track to welcome at least 40,000 by the end of this year.
