Samangan: 18-year-old girl gives birth to quadruplets

AIBAK (Pajhwok): A young woman in northern Samangan province has given birth to quadruplets, with two of the babies in critical situation currently under medical treatment.

Dr Syed Usman Hamidi, director of the main provincial hospital, said an 18-year-old girl gave birth to four babies on Friday.

Hamidi said the mother was in stable condition, but two of her babies were in critical condition. The newborns are currently under treatment.

According to him, the baby with the highest weight was about one kilogram and the weakest 650 grams. The newborns include two boys and as many girls.

Fazal Ahmad, 20, father of the babies, said he was facing economic problems. However, he is happy over being blessed with four newborns.
