KABUL (Pajhwok): The interim Afghan government has evinced a keen interest in forging greater economic cooperation with China.
The acting minister of commerce and industry, who is currently in Beijing, said: “We will hold talks about investment and having good bilateral relations with China.”
AFP quoted Nooruddin Azizi as saying on the sidelines of the Belt and Road Forum: “We have already signed projects with China.”
In this regard, the commerce minister referred to certain mega projects,including the Mes Aynak copper mines and Qashqari oil extraction site.
Hailing China’s desire for the development of his country, he said talks were underway on Afghanistan’s joiningthe Belt and Road Initiative.
