KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Acting Refugee and Repatriation Minister Khalil Rahman Haqqani has asked aid giving organizations to increase their assistance with newly returned Afghan refugees from Pakistan.
Haqqani arrived in Spin Boldak district of southern Kandahar province to meet newly arriving Afghan refugee families and know their situation on Tuesday.
In a statement, the Kandahar Governor’s House said the acting refugee and repatriation minister listened to the demands and problems of newly arriving families from Pakistan.
He also met officials of aid giving institutions and asked them to increase assistance with the returnees.
He renewed the promise of the Islamic Emirate supreme leader of building a large camp in Spin Boldak district.
He added the number of Afghan refugees being forcibly expelled from Pakistan was increasing and they urgently needed assistance and the IEA was providing them with necessary facilities.
