JALALABAD (Pajhwok): The bodies of two children who drowned in a canal two days ago were found on Thursday in eastern Nangarhar province, police said.
Nangarhar police spokesman Abdul Basir Zabuli told Pajhwok the children aged 12 and eight years had drowned in the canal in Barikab area of Jalalabad city, the provincial capital.
Their bodies were found after two days of search in cooperation between the Fire Department and local people and were handed over to their families.
Meanwhile, a man died after falling from a mountain in Nazian district.
Zabuli identified the deceased as Israrullah who fell from the mountain at night in Nagtai area.
