KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Foreign Minister Maulvi Amir Khan Muttaqi has discussed security, economic relations and recent developments in the region with Chinese ambassador to Kabul, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said on Sunday.
Abdul Qahar Balkhi, spokesman for MoFA, wrote on X that Muttaqi met with Zhao Sheng and discussed with him bilateral diplomatic and economic relations, security and recent developments in the region.
Muttaqi expressed satisfaction about his last visit to China and added ties between Afghanistan and China were progressing.
The Chinese ambassador also appreciated relations between the two countries and expressed Beijing’s the interest to expand diplomatic relations.
Amir Khan Muttaqi recently traveled to China and participated in the third Trans-Himalaya Forum for International Cooperation.
