MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): A market has been opened in Mazar-i-Sharif, the capital of northern Balkh province to determine the wholesale rates of gains.
Mohammad Yousuf Shahbaz, head of the Grains Traders Union, said this market had been established for the first time in Afghanistan in which the wholesale rates of wheat and other grains would be determined.
He said the market had been established in Hairatan because most of gains imported through this port and determined the wholesale rates for other provinces as well.
The new market situated in a newly bilt commercial building in Mazar-i-Sharif.
Mustafa Mohmand, the market in-charge, said after the wheat and other grains bidding market is established another market to determine the rates of petroleum and currency rates would be also established.
Businessmen considered the establishment of market will facilitate people.
Syed Mohammad Hashami, one of the businessmen in Balkh, said considering the international rates of commodities this market will determine daily domestic rates, this will facilitate businessmen and stop hoarding.
