Poor-quality food items sent back to Pakistan: ANSA

KABUL (Pajhwok): More than 2,000 cartons of poor-quality food items for children have been sent back to Pakistan from southeastern Khost province, says the Afghanistan National Standards Authority (ANSA).

ANSA wrote on its X handle the imported children’s sweets and chews did not meet the required standards and were sent back to neighbouring country.

ANSA has returned thousands of cartons of inferior food items to Pakistan in the past as well.

Earlier, residents of the province had complained that some low-quality food items imported from Pakistan had affected children's health and such imports should be stopped.
